WEEK FORTY

Festivities made for a short week, but there were plenty of

family and friends on hand to assist.

It was a week for working on windows. There certainly will be

no shortage of light in the saloon.

After “torture-boarding ” the fairing on the bow, no expense

was spared to ensure “Craftsman Chris’s” comfort!

Coring, coring and more coring. The mainsheet traveller fittings,

the genoa winch and traveller and the daggerboard control

line fittings.

Miss designed and constructed the winerack. Pop helped

with the hole cutting. Bottle for measuring purposes only!!

Housings were made for the ladders and some of the instruments

and controls were dry fitted in the port helm station.

Most of this item of kitchen furniture was constructed with

recycled “featherlight” offcuts. Much glueing and sanding

was required. Brad caught hard at it!

This week was a glassing fest, with glass applied to any

surface where there had been no glass before!

and the stove was dry fitted.

Nothing major to see on the outside, but plenty being done

on all those modules and inside areas.

Remember that galley module that originally went together

Well here it is being cut up to make places for the sink and

stove/oven.

The above five pictures show how areas are being strengthened

by adding extra layers of glass or foam.
