Prodder catwalk         Catwalk top

A great amount of work has gone into coving and glassing the prodder and catwalk in place between the tanks on the D web and the forebeam. The second picture shows the catwalk from the top. The forward end of the boat is really coming together now.

Furniture faired        Furniture faired2       Galley faired       Saloon seat faired

Ongoing all the time is the fairing, fairing, fairing of the furniture modules. These pictures show a small selection of the faired pieces. It has been amazing watching the featherlight furniture modules taking on a more “permanent” appearance as they have been faired. Take a good look at the modified saloon seat. You’d never know now that it was made up from pieces of featherlight not needed elsewhere in the project.

It will be the water inlet for the toilet. The hole is cut through the internal glass layer and the balsa, but does not go right through the hull yet to allow for the hole to be bogged up and a final smaller hole cut through the bog and the outer skin of the hull.
